After nearly a decade working inside ERP implementations — from the first discovery call to the final go-live — I kept watching the same tragedy unfold.
A business owner, excited and hopeful, signs a contract for an ERP system a salesperson convinced them was perfect. Six months later they're over budget, overwhelmed, and locked into a system that was never right for them in the first place.
Nobody warned them. Nobody asked the right questions. Nobody sat on their side of the table.
That's why I built Select-ERP.
My name is Dylan Coetzee. I'm an ERP consultant and developer with close to a decade of hands-on implementation experience across multiple ERP platforms — having delivered projects across the full spectrum of business scale, from ambitious startups finding their feet to NASDAQ-listed enterprises managing complex, multi-entity operations.
That range matters. It means I understand what a growing SME actually needs just as clearly as I understand what an enterprise demands. And more importantly — I understand the costly mistake of giving one the system built for the other.
I've sat in the room when the wrong system gets selected. I've watched businesses pay the price for years afterward. And I've seen how differently things go when a business truly understands what they need before they sign anything.
That experience is what powers every question in this platform.
The ERP industry has a structural problem. The people best positioned to advise you on which system to choose — vendors and their partners — are the same people who earn commission when you buy. That's not a criticism. It's just the reality of how the industry is structured.
The result is that too many businesses end up in systems that are:
The cost isn't just financial. It's months of disruption, team frustration, and the painful process of starting over — sometimes just a few years later.
I don't sell ERP systems. I don't earn commission from any vendor. I have no financial interest in which system you choose — only in making sure you choose the right one.
The platform asks you the questions an experienced, honest consultant would ask. It considers your business size, complexity, growth ambitions, budget, team capability, and industry requirements. It then gives you a clear, unbiased analysis of which systems genuinely fit your needs — and why.
You get the honest conversation the industry rarely offers before you commit.
Select-ERP is built for business owners, CFOs, and operations leaders who are about to make one of the most significant technology decisions of their business journey.
If you're evaluating ERP systems for the first time, recovering from a bad selection, or simply trying to make sense of a confusing market — this platform was built for you.
I built this because I believe every business deserves honest guidance before making a decision this significant. Not a sales pitch. Not a biased comparison. Just the truth about what fits and what doesn't.
The ERP industry will always have salespeople. Someone needed to build something that sits on your side of the table.
